Peter Wodtke
Peter Wodtke was born in New York City and from the age of 14 lived in Paris, France. He is a graduate of Le Rosey School in Rolle, Switzerland, and Princeton University. He started his banking career with Citibank in Hong Kong, moving to Beirut as Citibank’s officer in charge of the Middle East and Iran. After a brief stint at Schroder Banking Corporation he became CEO of Private Investment Company for Asia in Tokyo, then spent six years with Swiss Bank Corporation, Basel, Switzerland completing his banking career as the senior officer in the United States and Canada.
Following his service at Swiss Bank Corporation Peter Wodtke started a corporate finance advisory company in London, moving to the United States in 2000. He has served multiple times as CEO, as Chairman, as Chairman of the Audit Committee with many companies and has served on forty-five company boards of directors in Asia, the Arab World, Europe, the United Kingdom and the USA and Canada. Peter has lived in France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom, and is trilingual in English, French and German, with a fair knowledge of Cantonese and some Arabic. He is a global figure in his cultural acclimatization and in the great reach of his friendships and business contacts everywhere.
Peter and his wife Barbara have lived on the Green in Washington, Connecticut for many years, and like him, his three grown children are at home throughout the world. He can be seen in Steep Rock Reservation, at the Gunn Museum, at the Post Office, Washington Market, the Citgo gas station, and walking in Washington Cemetery, where he is on excellent terms with the many people he knew who are in their final resting places.
